The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is an extreme hypercar designed as the fastest version of the Jesko family and as a car focused primarily on minimal aerodynamic drag and maximum top speed.
Unlike the Jesko Attack, the Absolut version does away with the massive rear wing and features an elongated rear section, enclosed aerodynamic elements, and a drag coefficient of approximately Cd 0.278. At the heart of the car is a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 gasoline engine with a flat crankshaft.
On regular gasoline, the engine produces 1,280 l.s., and when running on E85 fuel, it delivers up to 1,600 l.s.
Maximum torque reaches 1,500 N·m.
The engine is known for its extremely quick response and is capable of revving up to 8,500 rpm.
Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a unique 9-speed Koenigsegg Light Speed Transmission (LST).
Thanks to the Ultimate Power on Demand system, the transmission is capable of selecting the optimal gear almost instantly, bypassing intermediate gears.
Acceleration to 100 km/h is not officially listed as a key performance figure for the model, but is expected to be around 2.5 seconds.
The main feature of the Jesko Absolut is its top-speed potential.
Koenigsegg has stated that, theoretically, the car is capable of exceeding 500 km/h; however, the model does not yet have an officially confirmed production top speed record.
Thanks to its redesigned aerodynamics, the Absolut generates significantly less downforce than the Jesko Attack, but it has much lower drag and is specifically designed for record-breaking speeds.
