2025 Koenigsegg Gemera
The Koenigsegg Gemera defines a new class of cars, designated by the manufacturer as Mega-GT. It is the first four-seater hypercar in history, combining the extreme performance of a mid-engine race car with the practicality of a grand tourer. The 2025 model in the HV8 specification represents the pinnacle of Christian von Koenigsegg's engineering, integrating the Jesko's powertrain into a four-seater body without compromising passenger comfort or luggage capacity. The power structure is based on a hybrid system that combines a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine (HV8 — Hot V8) with the revolutionary Dark Matter electric motor. The internal combustion engine has a hot cylinder bank configuration that optimizes turbocharger response. Combined with the Raxial Flux electric motor, the total output of the system reaches record levels, making this car the most powerful production vehicle at the time of release. The transmission is implemented using the innovative LSTT (Light Speed Tourbillon Transmission) gearbox. This is a 9-speed multi-disc mechanism without traditional synchronizers, providing gear changes at virtually the speed of light. The all-wheel drive system with torque vectoring and rear-axle steering ensures stability at all speeds. Acceleration dynamics and top speed take the Gemera beyond the usual classes, competing exclusively with single-seater or two-seater hypercars. The car's aerodynamic profile does away with massive fixed spoilers, relying on internal air channels and active elements to generate downforce. A distinctive feature of the exterior is the giant KATSAD (Koenigsegg Automated Twisted Synchrohelix Actuation Doors), which provide access to both rows of seats. Hollow carbon fiber Aircore wheels reduce unsprung weight, improving handling and ride comfort. The interior is designed to give all four passengers equal status. Memory foam seats integrated into the carbon monocoque provide optimal support. The interior features the highest quality materials, including leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber. It is equipped with eight cup holders (with heating and cooling functions), induction chargers, and individual information displays, emphasizing the model's touring potential. * Engine: 5.0 V8 Twin-Turbo "Dark Matter" electric motor * Power: 2300 hp / 2750 Nm (E85) * Transmission: 9-speed LSTT (Light Speed Tourbillon Transmission) * Drive: All-wheel drive (AWD) with traction vectoring * Acceleration 0–100 km/h: 1.9 s * Top speed: 400 km/h * Body: 2-door 4-seater coupe (Mega-GT) * Production: Limited series (Sweden) The car is a unique symbiosis of ultimate power and everyday functionality, redefining the boundaries of what is possible in automotive engineering.
