Check out Rolls‑Royce’s first ever laser‑engraved Phantom bonnet
Rolls‑Royce has revealed a one‑off Phantom called Arabesque that carries the marque’s first fully laser‑engraved bonnet.
Commissioned through Private Office Dubai, the bonnet pattern was cut into the paint to expose a darker underlayer; the company says the process removes about 145–190 microns of the topcoat.
Development took five years and was led by the Exterior Surface Centre.
Who is involved: Rolls‑Royce Bespoke teams and a Middle East client.
Why it matters: the engraving fixes the motif into the bodywork rather than applying a decal, creating a permanent, light‑reactive surface that expands Rolls‑Royce’s Bespoke toolkit and could raise commission values and future design briefs.
