Bugatti unveils one-off W16 Mistral named Caroline as a personal tribute
Bugatti has revealed a one‑off W16 Mistral commissioned by a private customer and named “Caroline” as a personal tribute to his daughter.
The bespoke roadster was completed through Bugatti’s Sur Mesure programme and publicly shown at the end of March 2026. Bugatti’s Atelier and the Colour - Material Finish team led the build.
The car features a colour‑shifting lavender finish, exposed violet‑carbon lower body, an intricately hand‑painted rear wing, extensive floral embroidery in the cabin and the brand’s Dancing Elephant gear selector.
This commission matters because it showcases Bugatti’s extreme customization at scale while underscoring the symbolic close of the W16 era.
It strengthens the marque’s collector appeal and illustrates how personal narratives are translated into high‑value, one‑off automotive assets.
