Bugatti’s last W16 gets a pearlescent send-off: the La Perle Rare Mistral
Bugatti unveiled a one-of-one W16 Mistral called La Perle Rare through its Sur Mesure program.
The bespoke roadster wears newly developed pearlescent two-tone paint, hand-applied gold-and-white dividing lines, diamond-cut two-tone wheels and white-painted carbon interior trim.
It retains the quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 producing about 1,578 hp.
The release confirms a final road-going W16 commission, required hundreds of hours of hand craftsmanship and reflects a close collaboration led by Jascha Straub.
It matters because it formally closes Bugatti’s W16 era, bolsters collector value for bespoke commissions and highlights the marque’s pivot toward hybrid powertrains.
