Bugatti Tourbillon uses mechanical gauge cluster built like a Swiss watch
Bugatti’s new Tourbillon hypercar features a bespoke mechanical gauge cluster assembled and finished to haute‑horlogerie standards, according to reporting on the car.
The cluster contains more than 650 components, uses rubies as bearings and integrates LEDs and electronics into a large-scale, watch‑style movement.
Bugatti collaborated with Swiss specialist Concepto on the assembly.
The company says buyers will be able to choose decorative engine‑turned finishes and that the run is limited to 250 cars.
Why it matters: the choice to use a mechanical centerpiece instead of a digital display underscores Bugatti’s emphasis on craft and rarity, reinforcing the Tourbillon’s positioning as a hand‑built, high‑value hypercar and affecting desirability and collector demand.
