Lexus LC will end production after the 2026 model year
Lexus will retire the LC 500 coupe and convertible after the 2026 model year, according to dealer communications and a CarsDirect weekly roundup published on February 6, 2026. Production is scheduled to continue through August 2026, and Lexus told media it is adjusting its product lineup to better match customer demand and broader brand strategy.
The decision affects Lexus, its dealer network and current owners.
Removing one of the brand’s last naturally aspirated V8 grand tourers reduces Lexus’s two‑door portfolio and may shift enthusiast demand to other performance offerings or future concept models.
Practical consequences include tighter new‑car inventory for late‑production LCs, possible changes in residual and collectible values for remaining examples, and dealer planning to reallocate sales and service resources as production winds down.
