Mercedes is recalling thousands of sedans, crossovers, coupes, and convertibles
Regulators and Mercedes confirmed a safety recall for 144,049 combustion‑powered Mercedes vehicles after instrument cluster displays were found to reset and briefly go blank.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is listed as the filing authority.
Dealers were notified on May 8 and owners will be contacted by June 26. Mercedes will deliver an over‑the‑air software update to affected 2024–2026 Benz, AMG and Maybach variants; no hardware replacement is required.
The defect can obscure critical driver information and increase crash risk, so the OTA rollout aims to accelerate remediation, raise owner awareness, and limit potential safety and liability impacts.
