Developed by the Ferrari Design Studio under the direction of Flavio Manzoni for an American client, it represents an extremely personal vision of a super-sports berlinetta concept, reimagined through a bold, technological design language with a forward-looking vision.
The car builds on the exceptional dynamic characteristics and performance of the SF90 Stradale, retaining its technical specifications and the essence of a top-of-the-line, ultra-high-performance supercar.
The goal of the project was to create a car with an instantly recognizable character, capable of embodying power, precision, and formal purity through a rigorous design with a strong sense of identity.
The stylistic theme of the Ferrari CZ26 is defined by a distinctly horizontal design with a highly characteristic two-angle silhouette.
The car has a stable, flowing exterior thanks to a structure based on a pure, capsule-like central mass supported by four muscular elements on the wheel arches.
The entire composition flows from the front fascia, as if the car’s body were extruded from a single element, naturally culminating in a clean, sculptural, truncated rear end, perfectly framed by geometry that echoes the design of the front end.
The front end features a functional full-width grille that incorporates specialized lighting units characterized by ultra-thin modules with a concealed effect, brake air intakes, sensors, and technical components.
The distinctive shape of the front end, accentuated by an unprecedented vertical front edge, gives the car a bold and assertive appearance.
The rear features a shortened rear hood and cantilevered taillights—elements that lend the Ferrari CZ26 a light and sculptural look.
The diffuser also features a pronounced horizontal design that helps visually widen the car’s stance, emphasizing its sense of stability and poise.
The overall body design is based on an extremely clean and austere aesthetic, with functional elements emerging directly from the main surface.
The side cooling air intakes, front end, rear diffuser, cantilevered light clusters, and carbon fiber elements that visually elongate the wheel arches are all part of a unified design language that blends functionality with aesthetic expressiveness.
This approach draws inspiration from some of the most iconic examples of Italian industrial design from the 1970s, reinterpreting their principles through a contemporary lens.
