2028 Aston Martin Valen Aston Martin has unveiled the Valen—the world’s most powerful front-engine car from the manufacturer and the most powerful front-engine V12 supercar in the company’s 113-year history.
The Valen, the latest addition to the legendary lineup of limited-production 12-cylinder special-edition cars, explores provocative design themes and extreme performance in pursuit of maximum visual impact and a truly unique driving experience.
Pushing the boundaries of design and engineering to create a supercar of unparalleled drama and capability, the Valen features a full carbon-fiber body and is powered by the most powerful version of the 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, delivering 850 k.s. and 1,000 Nm of torque starting at just 2,500 rpm.
Combined with purpose-built hardware and meticulous software calibration of the steering, suspension, and braking systems, the Valen offers a driver-focused configuration that matches its power.
Endowed with a bold design and character, Valen needed a name that conveyed the same seriousness and significance.
The name Valen, derived from the Latin word “valens,” whose etymology means “strong” or “powerful,” was the ideal name for Aston Martin’s most powerful front-engine V12, continuing the long-standing “V” naming tradition.
The project—the latest special-edition car from Aston Martin’s bespoke service, Q by Aston Martin, which previously introduced us to the Valour, Valiant, and DBR22, among others—was brought to life thanks to the unique capabilities and expertise of Aston Martin’s newly established Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division.
Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark said: “As the latest model in the limited-production special-edition lineup from our bespoke service, Q by Aston Martin, the Valen’s unrivaled performance demanded a design that would capture the powerful movement and unmatched power of our V12 powertrain.
With more power, less weight, and a thrilling soundtrack, the dramatic design is matched by equally dramatic performance.”
ENGINEERING The Aston Martin Valen’s status as the most powerful front-engine supercar is reinforced by an 8-speed ZF transmission with crisper gear shifts, which utilizes race-proven shifting strategies developed for the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 racing program, resulting in crisper and more dynamic shifting across all driving modes, which has reduced the Valen’s 0-100 km/h acceleration time to just 3.0 seconds.
The top speed is electronically limited to 340 km/h.
For Aston Martin’s Director of Vehicle Performance, Simon Newton, shaping the Valen’s character was a particular pleasure: “When the foundation of your project is the world’s most powerful front-engine production car, you know you’re in for a treat.
The Valen embodies the more unbridled dynamic purpose of a true sports car and amplifies that energy and focus to unlock even more of the Valen’s potential.
Everything we did with the powertrain and chassis was driven by the same goal: to enhance its character and capabilities to deliver a truly exhilarating experience accessible to drivers of all skill levels—but one that passionate drivers will definitely love.”
