Porsche Cayenne owner files class action alleging repair monopoly
A Florida company filed a federal class action accusing Porsche Cars North America and its dealer network of maintaining an unlawful repair monopoly that blocks independent repair providers from accessing diagnostic and software tools.
The complaint says a Cayenne owner was unable to reset routine service codes at an independent shop and had to use a dealer for an oil change.
Filed in the U.S.
District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and represented by Morgan - Morgan, the suit seeks class status for vehicles sold since January 1, 2021. If certified, it could force changes to how Porsche shares software access, affect repair costs, and open the aftermarket to independents, with potential damages and injunctive relief on behalf of affected owners.
