BMW Alpina relaunched as a standalone brand
BMW-Alpina has been relaunched as a standalone marque inside the BMW Group, with a new emblem and confirmation that future Alpina cars will be produced at selected BMW Group plants.
The announcement identifies the Alpina B7 as the inaugural model and says it will be derived from the facelifted 7 Series, preserving bespoke elements while integrating factory resources.
The change matters to buyers, dealers and competitors because factory-level integration should speed development, broaden distribution and standardize after-sales support.
Pricing and personalization policies will now be set within the BMW Group framework, which could push Alpina models further upmarket and reshape competition in the ultra-luxury performance sedan segment.
