Bugatti creates one-off W16 Mistral named La Perle Rare for a client
Bugatti has revealed a one-off W16 Mistral called La Perle Rare, commissioned and completed through its Sur Mesure personalization programme.
The marque’s design team, led by Jascha Straub, worked with the client to produce bespoke pearl-white and warm-gold finishes, hand-painted white-and-gold dividing lines, and a white-painted carbon interior.
Hundreds of hours of taping, masking and meticulous hand painting were required.
Diamond-cut wheels were finished to mirror the bodywork.
The signature name appears in Straub’s handwriting across stitched, engraved and painted details.
The car retains the 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 and arrives as a final personalized expression of Bugatti’s W16 roadster era.
This release matters because it underlines factory-controlled individuality, strengthens provenance for collectors and keeps demand for coachbuilt-level commissions high as Bugatti readies new powertrains.
Official images and notes accompanied the announcement, boosting Sur Mesure’s visibility among ultra-high-net-worth buyers.
