Bugatti tests Tourbillon brake-by-wire system on Swedish ice
Bugatti completed a four‑week cold‑weather validation of the Tourbillon at Arjeplog, Sweden.
A 20‑person development team led by chief development driver Miroslav Zrnčević concentrated on the car’s brake‑by‑wire system, which blends regenerative torque from three electric motors with hydraulic foundation brakes.
Engineers ran ABS, ESC, traction‑control and MU‑jump tests across polished ice, packed snow, slush and asphalt to calibrate pedal feel and safety‑system transitions.
Why it matters: successful calibration shows the hybrid braking architecture can deliver consistent pedal response and stability across extreme surfaces.
That outcome influences customer safety, final validation sign‑off, supplier calibration, warranty parameters, service training and the Tourbillon’s delivery timetable.
