Porsche Taycan named 2026 Canadian electric car of the year
The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) named the Porsche Taycan its 2026 Canadian Electric Car of the Year.
AJAC jurors evaluated eligible 2026 model-year vehicles under real-world conditions and selected the Taycan for its combination of performance, efficiency and everyday usability.
Porsche Cars Canada and company representatives confirmed the recognition.
The award matters because it reinforces the Taycan’s position against rival EVs in buyer consideration and media perception.
