Audi RS 5 to debut as hot-lap car at Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix
Audi will use the new Audi RS 5 as the hot-lap car at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, offering guests timed track rides with professional drivers Dindo Capello and Markus Winkelhock.
The car is a high-performance plug-in hybrid that pairs a 2.9-liter V6 biturbo (375 kW/510 hp) with a 130 kW electric motor for a system output of 470 kW (639 hp).
Audi also highlights quattro with Dynamic Torque Control to precisely distribute drive torque and sharpen cornering.
Audi frames the activation as part of a push to showcase electrified performance and grow presence in the US market.
The on-track program links Audi's road-car technology to its 2026 Formula 1 entry and aims to raise showroom interest in upcoming models such as the refreshed Q7 and new Q9.
