2026 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Ram is linking its participation in the NASCAR Truck Series to an all-new “muscle truck” subsegment, which includes three HEMI®-powered variants that deliver enough dynamism and performance to satisfy any driving enthusiast.
Power comes from the proven 5.7-liter HEMI V-8, the legendary 6.4-liter 392 HEMI V-8, or the top-of-the-line supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat HEMI V-8 with an impressive 777 horsepower.
The top-of-the-line Rumble Bee SRT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, covers the quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds at 187 km/h, and reaches a top speed of 270 km/h, setting a record as the most powerful, fastest, and quickest production V-8 pickup truck.
“There was a time when pickups were considered work vehicles,” said Tim Kuniskis, head of American brands, SRT Performance, and North American marketing at Stellantis.
“Today, Ram has a pickup for every customer—from the work-oriented Tradesman to the full-fledged luxury of the Tungsten.
This range makes it difficult to predict a customer’s second vehicle.
But for muscle car owners, the data proves that it’s a pickup, and that connection has been clear ever since the era was revived nearly two decades ago.
For some reason, the idea of muscle trucks was dismissed as unnecessary, but since it describes so many products that have captured the hearts, minds, and wallets of enthusiasts, Ram is doing everything it can to make it into the top ten with a full lineup of Rumble Bee muscle trucks.”
Twenty years ago, Ram discontinued production of its original muscle truck—the 8.4-liter Ram 1500 SRT10 “Viper truck” with a V-10 engine producing 500 horsepower.
Since then, the pickup segment has remained vacant.
Now Ram is launching a lineup of muscle trucks to reignite the passion for powerful pickups, including an SRT variant that pushes the limits of the half-ton pickup platform.
Powertrain The first in the world of new Ram muscle trucks is the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee, equipped with a 5.7-liter (345 cu. inches), which produces 395 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 410 pound-feet of torque at 3,950 rpm.
Codenamed “Eagle,” the engine employs the legendary muscle-car formula with an in-block camshaft design, but with modern features such as a variable valve timing system controlled by an oil-actuated valve that lubricates a unique camshaft sprocket and a phasing device to adjust valve timing.
The aluminum cylinder heads feature two valves per cylinder, which draw air from an active intake manifold with a short valve to optimize torque and power.
At lower engine speeds, the valve closes, resulting in improved low-end torque compared to longer valves.
At higher engine speeds, the valve opens, directing the incoming air toward the center of the manifold.
Shorter valves provide improved power and an optimized power band.
