Mercedes-AMG’s 1,300‑hp super SUV takes shape
Mercedes‑AMG is developing a high‑power electric SUV that tests show could exceed 1,300 hp and will sit on the AMG.EA 800‑volt architecture, according to new spy coverage.
Prototypes photographed in Sweden reveal a production direction based on the GT XX concept; AMG confirmed plans for a dedicated SUV and a coupe variant.
The vehicle will use multiple axial‑flux motors and fast‑charging hardware; YASA is cited as a supplier for high‑power motors.
Mercedes projects a market launch in 2027. The development signals AMG’s push to electrify its top performance models and to compete with other six‑figure performance SUVs.
