Lexus confirms LC 500 production will end in August 2026
Lexus has confirmed to dealers that the LC 500 coupe and convertible will be discontinued after the 2026 model year, with production running only until the end of August 2026. The automaker told Car and Driver it is adjusting its model mix to align with customer demand and dealer inventories, formalising a January dealer letter.
Dealers, parts suppliers and aftersales planners now face a compressed timeline for orders, service planning and parts stocking.
The removal of one of Lexus’s last naturally aspirated V8 models is likely to firm prices for remaining new and used examples, and could increase interest among collectors.
Strategically, the decision signals an accelerated shift toward electrification and SUV‑led sales that will influence Lexus’s product, supplier and marketing plans through 2026 and beyond.
