Cadillac Escalade included in GM recall over transmission issue
General Motors has issued a safety recall affecting 43,732 full‑size SUVs after investigators found a transmission control valve susceptible to excessive wear that can lead to loss of hydraulic pressure and, in rare cases, rear‑wheel lockup.
The campaign specifically lists 2022 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV among affected vehicles.
GM will deploy an over‑the‑air or dealer software update to the transmission control module to detect excessive wear and limit gear selection when necessary.
Owners will be notified and dealers will install the fix; the action aims to reduce crash risk, limit liability and restore owner confidence while regulators and plaintiffs review related claims.
