Audi accidentally leaked an RS 5 plug-in hybrid and a new entry-level EV
Audi briefly published and then removed a set of promotional pages that exposed two unreleased models: a plug-in hybrid version of the RS 5 and a low-cost, entry-level electric model.
The leaked assets included photos, specification hints and trim labels before Audi pulled the pages.
The company is at the center of the leak; Autoblog located cached copies and screenshots that circulated on social media.
If the RS 5 PHEV appears as shown it would mark a clear step toward electrified high-performance models in Audi’s RS line while keeping the model’s high-output intent.
The entry-level EV indicates Audi may expand its EV range downward in price and reach.
The leak matters because it forces dealers, competitors and prospective buyers to adjust expectations for near-term product launches, could accelerate internal timing decisions, and reveals aspects of Audi’s 2026 product positioning ahead of an official announcement.
