Mercedes-Benz S 580e 4MATIC (2026 Facelift) The major update to the flagship sedan, unveiled on January 29, 2026, marks a profound technical overhaul of the current W223 generation.

The restyling affected more than 50% of the car's components, focusing on a significant increase in electric power and the integration of new digital architecture, while maintaining the traditional balance of executive comfort.

Powertrain The hybrid system based on a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine has been significantly upgraded.

The total power output has been increased by 55 kW and now stands at 585 hp (430 kW) with an unchanged peak torque of 750 Nm.

The main increase has been achieved thanks to a more powerful electric motor, which has improved dynamics in hybrid mode while maintaining an electric range of over 100 km.

Transmission and dynamics The powertrain is paired with an optimized 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive.

Thanks to the increased power, acceleration to 100 km/h has been reduced to 4.4–4.5 seconds.

Intelligent drive control is now integrated into the new MB.OS operating system, which acts as a "superbrain," combining control of the engine, transmission, and driver assistance systems.

Exterior and aerodynamics Exterior changes include a completely redesigned front end with an enlarged radiator grille and new headlights, which feature integrated three-pointed star light elements.

The design of the bumpers and rear lights has also been optimized.

The improved AIRMATIC air suspension with continuous intelligent damping control ensures body stability and minimizes aerodynamic drag at high speeds.

Interior The main innovation in the interior is the transition to a three-section MBUX Superscreen, which now spans the entire width of the front panel.

Black piano lacquer has been completely eliminated from the trim and replaced with natural wood and premium materials as part of the MANUFAKTUR personalization program.

For the first time in the S-Class, a completely leather-free interior option is available.

Innovative solutions such as heated seat belts provide additional comfort.
