Premiere date and format The updated Mercedes-Benz S-Class will be officially unveiled on January 29, 2026, as part of the Mercedes-Benz brand's 140th anniversary celebrations.

General information This is an updated version (facelift) of the W223 generation (seventh generation) S-Class sedan.

More than 50% of the components have been redesigned or replaced — about 2,700 new or updated parts, making this one of the most extensive restylings in the model's history.

Updated LED optics.

Retention of the classic proportions of a representative sedan.

Interior and technology New MB.OS operating system — an evolution of MBUX with expanded AI functions.

Improved comfort, noise insulation, and intelligent suspension systems.

Engines and transmissions Gasoline engines: Updated inline six-cylinder M256 Evo — up to 600 Nm of torque (overboost to ~640 Nm).

New V8 M177 Evo with flat crankshaft – around 530 hp and 750 Nm.

Hybrid versions: Plug-in hybrid S580e – total power output over 570-585 hp, electric range over 100 km.

Diesel: OM656 Evo for markets where diesel is permitted.

Chassis: Rear steering.

Airmatic air suspension. 48V mild-hybrid EQ Boost system.

S450 / S500 trim levels - basic gasoline versions.
