2026 Mercedes GLE Coupe 450 4MATIC Facelift!
The Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class underwent significant changes for the 2027 model year.
Aesthetically, its updated look aligns with the brand’s latest design direction.
It features a larger grille with an illuminated star emblem and a redesigned front bumper.
Like most of Mercedes’ latest offerings, the GLE’s headlights incorporate lighting elements within their transparent outer lenses, shaped like the Mercedes three-pointed star emblem.
The taillights have also received a similar design.
The interior has also been redesigned: the front of the cabin now features an MBUX Superscreen that spans the entire dashboard.
Other significant updates can be found under the hood, where the top-of-the-line GLE580 has received a new 530-horsepower V8 engine, which is 20 horsepower more than the previous model.
The six-cylinder engine in the GLE450 and the four-cylinder in the GLE350 have also been redesigned, and Mercedes claims that the new variants are “noticeably more responsive.”
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo Front Row: The GLE’s cabin is spacious and luxurious, featuring premium materials such as high-quality synthetic or genuine leather upholstery, as well as wood or brushed aluminum trim.
The front row of the GLE is a wonderful place to be, but it feels like there are too many screens and lighting elements now that the Superscreen comes standard.
Buyers can also opt for unusual amenities such as heated armrests and Mercedes-Benz’s Air Balance cabin fragrance system.
Second row: The second row offers plenty of legroom but only adequate headroom.
We suspect the rear seats of the GLE450 Coupe are even worse in this regard.
The GLE offers an optional power-adjustable second row that can slide forward and backward and features adjustable seatbacks.
Third row: A comfortable third row for adults is available in the SUV, but not in the coupe.
Trunk capacity: Mercedes claims that the GLE-Class’s cargo area offers 22 cubic feet of space.
With the second and third-row seats folded down, this increases to 72.6 cubic feet.
Infotainment system: 39.1-inch touchscreen for the Superscreen infotainment system Connectivity: Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Audio system: 8-speaker audio system (standard), Burmester audio system with 15 speakers and Dolby Atmos (optional) The new GLE-Class now comes standard with a 39.1-inch Superscreen, which makes the instrument cluster almost entirely digital.
Navigation, Bluetooth, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.
An eight-speaker stereo system is standard, but a 15-speaker Burmester system is optional and features Dolby Atmos surround sound technology.
SiriusXM satellite radio is standard on all models.
