Bugatti Bolide — a track hypercar with extreme performance characteristics Unveiled in 2020, the Bugatti Bolide is an experimental track hypercar designed to demonstrate the brand's ultimate capabilities. The model is not intended for public roads and is a lightweight, redesigned version of the Chiron architecture. The Bolide is powered by an 8.0-liter W16 engine with four turbochargers, developing 1,850 horsepower and 1,600 Nm of torque when using 110 octane racing fuel. In the standard fuel version, the power output is 1600 hp. Power is transmitted via a 7-speed robotic gearbox and all-wheel drive (AWD). Thanks to its weight of only about 1,450 kg, the car demonstrates outstanding dynamic performance: acceleration to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds and a calculated maximum speed of over 500 km/h.
The aerodynamic design is engineered to create record-breaking downforce of up to 2.6 tons at 320 km/h. The body is made entirely of carbon fiber and titanium, with active aerodynamic elements and distinctive air intakes. The design is focused on minimizing weight and optimizing airflow. The interior is as race-oriented as possible: a carbon fiber monocoque, digital instrument panel, carbon fiber seats, and racing seat belts. All solutions are aimed at control and safety at extreme speeds.
