2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed The new 600 hp, 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) V8 engine, without the traditional vacuum system and with a fuel injection pressure of 350 bar (increased from 200 bar), provides cleaner combustion and improved emissions. With an electric motor that eliminates turbo lag, twin single-scroll turbochargers are used, reducing complexity and allowing them to operate at higher temperatures, minimizing emissions. This eliminates the need for cylinder deactivation hardware, as the engine can be completely shut down when using the electric motor. A 190 hp, 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) electric motor in the transmission housing provides torque at low engine speeds and does the same during gear changes for added smoothness. A 25.9 kWh battery is installed behind the rear axle. This helps achieve ideal weight distribution, and up to 85 percent of the battery's capacity can be used. The system manages energy flows depending on the selected mode—pure EV, electric boost, regenerative braking—and, most importantly for this new GT Speed, charging mode, when the engine drives the wheels and charges the battery simultaneously.
