2027 Audi E7X New Model Range: 750 kilometers.
Dedicated to China and created specifically for it: following the successful debut of the AUDI E5 Sportback, the AUDI brand—created through Audi’s collaboration with SAIC—unveiled its first all-electric SUV, the AUDI E7X, at the Auto China 2026 auto show in Beijing.
As the brand’s second production model, this large SUV is set to stand out in China’s premium electric SUV segment, combining Audi’s progressive engineering expertise, iconic driving dynamics, and craftsmanship with China’s advanced digital ecosystem and a personalized interior design, tailored to the lifestyle of Chinese travelers.
Manufactured at Audi’s smart production facility in Antin, Shanghai, the E7X will launch in the first half of 2026, expanding the brand’s presence in the Chinese market and fulfilling its core promise—combining the best of both worlds.
“With the E5 Sportback, which was named ‘China Car of the Year 2026,’ we have opened a new chapter for Audi in China’s electric era.
The Audi E7X now extends this innovative vision to the important SUV segment,” says Gernot Delner, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi AG.
“With a clear product roadmap that is seamlessly integrated into China’s innovation ecosystem, we look confidently to the future, offering more individual models that will be introduced over the next few years.”
“The AUDI E7X is the first SUV built on the Advanced Digitized Platform, a vehicle that combines Audi’s heritage with the future.
Completely new, yet unmistakably Audi.
Progressive design, superb driving dynamics, and the latest innovations are combined in this family SUV,” says Fermín Soeira, CEO of the Audi-SAIC joint venture.
With dimensions of 5,049 mm in length, 1,997 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, as well as a long wheelbase of 3,060 mm, the AUDI E7X is a progressive large SUV with impressive road handling, dynamic proportions, and unmatched versatility.
Built on the jointly developed Advanced Digital Platform (ADP) with its zonal electronic architecture, it delivers next-generation connected vehicle functionality, full-scale over-the-air vehicle updates, and seamless integration with China’s digital ecosystem.
The E7X is based on a high-performance 900-volt architecture that offers two powertrain options: a 300-kW rear-wheel-drive version and a 500-kW variant with quattro all-wheel drive and dynamic acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
Battery packs with a capacity of 100 kWh or 109 kWh provide a long range according to the CLTC standard, with the larger battery delivering over 750 kilometers. 4C fast charging replenishes the battery from 10% to 80% in just 13 minutes.
The lidar-based AUDI 360 Driving Assist system is adapted to China’s challenging road conditions.
Inside the E7X, zero-gravity seats, a 21.4-inch rear-seat entertainment display, a Bose Performance Series audio system, and the AI-powered AUDI Assistant 2.0 combine cutting-edge technology with uncompromising comfort.
